Dr. Shippy realizes most people will enter his doors in order to relieve immediate pain.
However, pain is merely a symptom of underlying issues; issues that can wreak havoc on our nervous system and limit our body’s movement.
If you’ve had to take time away from work because you can no longer meet its physical demands or if you’ve had to skip out on your weekend bowling league because of back pain, Dr. Shippy can ease your pain but also help restore agility to the body.
Chiropractic Care in a Welcoming Atmosphere
Our office at Shippy Chiropractic is laid-back and friendly to put you at ease. Our open floor plan is accented with charts and useful information on the walls to educate everyone who passes through our doors.
You will fill our new patient forms either online before your first session or in our office before you see the chiropractor for the first time.
ONLINE FORMS
Expect to be in our office for about an hour. Dr. Shippy will meet with you to discuss your concerns and current condition. He’ll perform an exam and have x-rays taken if necessary. After this consultation, you’ll receive chiropractic manipulations or therapies if they are suitable to alleviate your pain.
Your second visit to Shippy Chiropractic will last about 45 minutes to an hour. At this time, Dr. Shippy will give you the report of findings from your exam and review any x-rays or additional information regarding your current condition.
He may use films, models or other visual aids to explain what’s happening in your body and to help you make educated decisions about your treatments options. You’ll receive your chiropractic therapy and perhaps customized range of motion stretches to end your session.
Most care plans are designed to take place over 10-12 sessions. On the last session of the series Dr. Shippy will re-evaluate your care-plan and recommend the next step for your continued progress. These appointment are generally much shorter than your first two.
